Volunteer in Action

Although this post has been slightly delayed in coming due to the Coronavirus taking over, we certainly want to highlight the Santiago Partnership volunteer, Andrea Adegoke. She is a student from Cedarville University in their Pharmacy program and will be graduating in about a year. She came for 10 days to volunteer with the Santiago Partnership in the Medical Clinic. She also volunteered with our Prevention and Intervention programs with the elderly in the community. She also graciously partnered with an Occupational Therapy team from Indiana Wesleyan University, so she accompanied them on home visits in indigenous communities surrounding Cayambe. It was a packed 10 days with time to take in local tourist sites and experience Ecuador. Thank you Andrea for your willingness to come and serve the people of Ecuador with your expertise, your flexibility when things didn’t go as planned and your servant heart to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
