First Post-Pandemic Women's Caravan

This past week a women’s holistic medical carvan was carried out for the first time since the pandemic. A group of ladies that consisted of volunteers from the U.S. and Ecuador served only women over a 5 day period in 4 different locations around Cayambe and Quito. The caravan was held at four different Covenant churches though the attention was given to anyone who wanted care. During the 5 days, 163 patients were seen by general medicine, gynecology, psychology, dentistry and spiritual care.

It was beautiful to see women coming together to serve and care for other women. Multiple women partnered together to serve, including the Women Ministries leaders in Ecuador, U.S. and a German Volunteer and Ecuadorian women from the project. We were able to care and heal, but also realize our limitations when God has to take over because we have done all we know to do. Multiple women said to those serving they had never been cared for in this way, whether it be from having their ears checked, hands laid on them or listening to them in a way showing compassion and genuine care for their well-being.
