TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

The Santiago Partnership serves in collaboration with the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), the Evangelical Covenant Church of Ecuador (IPEE), and specifically with the social development branch of the church (FACE). We are also grateful for many other collaborative partnerships with organizations and individuals, especially Iglesia Emanuel.

+ IPEE

IPEE (pronounced “E-Pay-Ay”) stands for Iglesia del Pacto Evangélico del Ecuador, which means that it is the Evangelical Covenant Church of Ecuador. IPEE was birthed in the late ‘40s by American Covenant missionaries who had come to Ecuador to help establish two schools. Currently, there are over 80 Covenant churches in Ecuador that are spread out throughout the country and are broken up into six districts of churches. IPEE is now legally independent from their American sister-church but still work hand-in-hand in many facets and projects. The Santiago Partnership is serving Ecuador by invitation of IPEE.

+ Evangelical Covenant Church

The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) is an evangelical Christian denomination of more than 800 congregations and an average worship attendance of 178,000 people in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents. Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, the church is now one of the most rapidly growing and multi-ethnic denominations in North America. Historically Lutheran in theology and background, it is now a broadly evangelical denomination. This is the denomination that Joel and Kim serve as missionaries.

+ FACE

Fundación Adelanto Comunitario Ecuatoriano (FACE - pronounced "Fa-Say"), which means Ecuadorian Community Advancement Organization, is the Social Service Branch of the IPEE. FACE develops and administers various community-oriented outreach programs aimed at educating the Ecuadorian populace and reducing the need for intervention. All of the staff of the Santiago Partnership ministries in Ecuador are FACE employees and FACE's leadership is empowered to provide oversight and leadership of the ministry.
