The one thing we are asked to do over and over is to love. Love our spouse, love our children, our families, our neighbors, even our enemies. Over the last couple weeks, we have shared Stories of Dignity, showing how when we support one another we thrive. And it’s just not the individuals who thrive. Changed families change communities.
With our home for at-risk children, not only is it a safe and caring environment for children, but it is also a source of support for the parents or guardians who are working to build a new life for themselves. Parents/guardians have the reassurance their children have all their needs met, both physically and mentally. Parents have social workers helping them achieve what is needed to bring their children back home, if it is safe to do so. Everyone works as a team, with the common goal of restoring families.
