Some teenage boys from the Santiago Children’s Home had the opportunity to develop their knowledge of the ins and outs of cars. The Automotive Mechanics course, sponsored by engineer Alex Bedoya, owner of Mecánica Automotriz Bedoya, began in January 2025. The course included theoretical and practical mechanics classes, covering topics such as tool handling, vehicle parts, engine operation, auxiliary systems and vehicle maintenance.
Five adolescents, ages 13 to 15, participated in these courses on Thursdays and Saturdays. They received their training attendance certificate in May 2025. The teens were happy to share what they learned by doing some practice work on the Forever Flowers truck, giving some tips on how to better care for the engine.
From this course, teenager Deivid will begin a training process at a local institution to become certified as an Automotive Mechanic. We are grateful for the support received from private companies, which allows us to strengthen the skills and abilities of our youth, allowing them to improve their conditions and quality of life.
We praise God for His hand in these partnerships and seek prayer for the determination and commitment the children have to transform their lives. We celebrate each milestone to better futures and stability.
