School - Where Dreams Take Flight!

It's officially "Back to School" season for the children and staff at the Santiago Children's Home.

Our Back to School Campaign "Where Dreams Take Flight," promotes the right to education for foster children. A good education is the "passport" to their brighter, sustainable future.

The home is faced with the urgent need to cover the expenses associated with returning to school at the beginning of September, as most children do not have family support. There are currently 21 school aged children in the Home.

Below is the budget for the items each child is required to have to attend school in Cayambe. You can choose a donation that fits your budget and fulfills a tangible need.

Obtaining these needs is key to continuing to provide a caring and protective environment that promotes the right to education for all our foster children. All children deserve the opportunity to learn and create a bright future, no matter their circumstance.

To help offset the costs for the Home, our goal is to raise $4,000 by August 25th. We ask you to consider supporting our children in this way and to share with family and friends!  Donations can be made online with “Back to School” in the memo or checks can be mailed to:
